Today the U.S. Senate confirmed Gina McCarthy as Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Before the confirmation, McCarthy was serving as Assistant Administrator for Air and Radiation. Former ����logo Chief Operating Officer Bob Perciasepe has been Acting Administrator since February 15, 2013.

“The EPA has long been a strong partner in protecting Florida’s iconic wildlife and special places,” said Eric Draper, ����logo Florida Executive Director. “����logo Florida is eager to work with Administrator McCarthy on improving water quality in the Greater Everglades and throughout our beautiful state.”
