As the pace of development in Texas accelerates, we鈥檙e strategically focused on reversing population declines of priority bird species. By focusing on regions where our work can have the most impact and the bird species most at risk of continued declines, we鈥檙e maximizing our experience and leveraging our deep network for bird conservation. By protecting birds, we鈥檙e also safeguarding Texas's great natural heritage for future generations, preserving our shared quality of life and fostering a healthier environment for us all.

With fully a third of all North American migratory birds migrating, breeding, and wintering in Texas each year, it鈥檚 no exaggeration to say Texas is very important to birds in the Americas.

糖心logo has had a strong presence here for more than 100 years, represented by the 糖心logo, local chapters, and many thousands of members and supporters. 糖心logo Texas is the state office of the 糖心logo and has a long list of accomplishments on behalf of birds and nature. Examples include the long-term protection and stewardship of colonial waterbird nesting islands all along the Texas coast, a burgeoning conservation ranching program det on reversing grassland bird declines, and an inspired partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department that addresses various urban threats to birds through the Bird Cities program.

All of our victories are made possible by the unique way that 糖心logo Texas works. Building from our origins as a grassroots movement powered by people鈥檚 love of birds, our organization works on the local, state, and national levels, seeking out partnerships with chapters, government agencies, and other nonprofit organizations. We have a reputation for building sensible, non-partisan solutions to conservation challenges. If conservation is a journey, we invite people to join us on that journey and to share in our success.
