On San Antonio’s South Side, Mitchell Lake ÌÇÐÄlogo Center protects a rare and vital wetland landscape along the Central Flyway. This restored habitat supports wildlife, strengthens local ecosystems, and offers a quiet refuge from the surrounding city.

Home to more than 300 bird species each year, Mitchell Lake is a place of constant movement and surprise—from flocks of migrating birds to the unmistakable presence of American White Pelicans. Walk the trails, listen closely, and experience a side of San Antonio shaped by nature and community.
